I apologize, my loyal followers, that this post has nothing to do with music, nor anything related to music. It´s about art, and especially about a certain artist, Banksy.

Hultsfred

I´ve always been dying to go to a big festival, like Glastonbury or Roskilde or Benicassim or Hultsfred, with loooooads of great artists, so great that you just want to see them all. This year, eventhough they haven´t announced even nearly all artists, Hultsfred is pretty much as awesome as a festival can be. Here´s just some examples:

I´m usually not a big fan of covers, especially covers of songs that are almost perfect as it is. There are only a few covers that make right to the original song, and this is definitely one of them:

Going to the library to check out records has sort of become like a hobby to me. And it´s really handy, since I don´t have to pay anything for the records, but still I get them on my iPod. Going to the library is like going to paradise, almost...!

Elliott Smith

Today I logged in to facebook as i usually do when I get home. When I got in I was just skimming through all the usual, random and maybe even a bit boring status updates and other posts, blahblah, nothing interesting happens ever on facebook anyway. Just as I was about to log out I noticed that a friend of mine had posted this video that caught my attention and looked interesting enough to maybe even give a shot at. I had never heard of the artist, Elliott Smith, before, but since I heard the first notes from his acoustic guitar I was spellbound. Ofcourse I immediately had to blog about him. Here´s some of his great ones from his album Figure 8:

Gym Class Heroes

I´m sorry for not being so active lately, but I´ve just had shitloads to do this week, schoolwork coming out of my ears etc. But, we had the joy to have Gym Class Heroes playing a gig here in Helsinki on monday, and I have to say it was pretty sick! They were really wired and in good shape, and they just seemed really happy to play again. And one of the best things was the connection and interaction between the band and the crowd. We got really near the stage too, we didn´t even have to push our way through. We were actually so close to the stage that I was able to high five Travie, haha! Anyway, here´s the setlist plus some songs:
